Festivals and major events require a robust machine design, but also a compact installation size for transport. In addition, reliability is essential, even under harsh environmental conditions, such as high outside temperatures in midsummer and internal heat development, dust or moisture due to the formation of condensation on cold surfaces or due to the beer as a "liquid working medium", the installed components must function. A fast and low-friction linear guide is essential to enable dispensing in a matter of seconds. As the machine operates in the food sector, a 100 % lubrication-free application with FDA conformity is crucial.

The automated beer dispensing system with built-in igus® components was developed by the company One Two Beer to speed up the serving of beer at festivals and major events. A perfectly tapped beer is available at the touch of a button. Fast, high-quality and loss-free tapping are the most important features of the solution. The essential part of the beer tapping system is the complete linear guide unit used by igus®, including spindle stepper motor, high helix lead screw made of stainless steel and flanged threaded nut. Due to the requirements and the special application, there were hardly any alternative solutions for One Two Beer GmbH other than the igus® components.
