Plastic energy chains for the heavy-duty sector were installed on the cantilever and the drill floor skid of this 3000HP modular offshore drilling rig. They carry an additional load of 200kg/m over travels of 17.5m and 8m respectively. The advantages were the low weight combined with high stability.
