For aerial work platforms: Aerial work platforms are used wherever work needs to be carried out safely and efficiently at great heights. They enable precise working at heights while ensuring stability and personal safety and provide the necessary mobility, stability and long extension lengths at different working heights.

energy supply in risers must withstand harsh environmental conditions. They must be reliably guided at temperatures from -20 °C to +50 °C and withstand soiling or even long unsupported lengths. The issue of maintenance also plays an important role. It should be possible to carry out maintenance quickly.

The energy chain systems used should also be quick to replace. However, equipping entire systems with spare parts within a few minutes is a major challenge with long unsupported lengths.

To avoid having to reassemble, the customer was helped with ready-to-install energy chains specially designed for unsupported lengths and harsh environmental conditions. The complete service includes the delivery of a module (diagram: energy chain of the E4.1 series), hydraulic hoses and control cable (diagram: type CF77) for direct assembly.

All modules are 100 per cent tested beforehand in the igus® readychain® factory. The ready-to-install energy chain systems can be replaced quickly during maintenance.
