Willow, the smartest garden robot by EEVE, operates without the need for a perimeter wire, thanks to its advanced computer vision and AI. It can autonomously navigate gardens, avoid obstacles, and perform tasks like sweeping, transporting goods, and playing games.
EEVE uses igus components in Willow to ensure durability in harsh environments, such as extreme weather or coastal areas. Originally, iglide® thrust washers were used to reduce friction in the rear axis, but later, a custom iglide® PRT slewing ring bearing was incorporated to allow maintenance-free, dry-running operation and smooth rotation, even under tough conditions.
Using the online PRT configurator, the service life of the slewing ring bearing was calculated in advance.
All data collected in the igus test laboratory on the service life of slewing ring bearings flows into this tool and thus enables an accurate prediction of the product service life.
