Reliable scanning

This system checks pipelines in petrochemical systems for breaks and cracks. The scanner unit is moved in a semi-circle via a roller system and scans the pipes. Originally, conventional metal bearings were used for mounting the roller system. However, these corroded quickly in the humid working environment. For this reason, the metal bearings were quickly replaced by iglidur® plastic plain bearings from igus®, which are not affected by humidity and dirt.
