Optimal shredding

During shredding, the cutting head is exposed to contamination with dust and the smallest paper pieces. The cutting heat is cleaned with a high-pressure cleaner. Therefore, the bearings of the head rotation axes need to be particularly sturdy. Conventional metal bearings quickly failed in extensive cutting tests. In this application, iglidur® plain bearings from igus® proved themselves to be optimal due to being lubrication-free.
