Nicely decorated

This machine decorates cakes. In this process, the dosing system is vertically moved by an integrated conveyor belt that transports the baking tray bit by bit from one side to the other. Because some parts of the machine are in direct contact with foodstuff, the requirements to the components – especially guides and bearings – are extremely high. They shall not contaminate foodstuff and need to be resistant against cleaning agents and humidity. For this reason, developers avoided conventional metal bearings and used instead iglidur® A180 plain bearings from igus® for the dosing system. The vertical movement was realized with two drylin® W guides.
