Complete protection

This awning spans the whole inner courtyard of a hotel and offers protection from sun, rain and wind. One side of the awning fabric was attached to nine pivot arms, and the other to a storage box. The pivot arms made of rectangular tubing were bolted via an adapter to a shaft, which is mounted using igubal® pedestal bearings and driven by a gear motor. For this application, the bearings must be particularly weatherproof. In addition, the sleeve must be able to be divided since this was the only way to assembly the shaft with the welded adapter plates for attachment of the pivot arms.
