Maritime crane

Changed crane supply on an installation vessel: An XXL energy chain with a rearward bending radius shall ensure the power and signal supply as an alternative to a slip ring. A totally new execution planning was required because the energy chain could not be installed inside the crane´s column, but at the outside diameter. The diameter of the basic column is 12 meter, the demanded rotary range is 900 degree. The XXL energy chain from igus® is now equipped with numerous control and bus cables as well as with 60 1x120mm² energy cables. entire weight is about 6.500 kg, the building size about 1.5 m.
