igus® has developed a new, modular delta robot kit for automated pick-and-place tasks. The solution is self-lubricating, maintenance-free, lightweight and allows users to engineer at a very low cost.
The robot is based on three drylin® ZLW toothed-belt actuators, igubal spherical bearings and other lightweight igus® components. NEMA stepper motors and encoders allow for quick handling of up to 0.5 millimeters, and the system can carry as much as five kilograms. The delta robot can be used in applications ranging from belt transfer stations and sorting systems, to small parts handling and fast positioning machines.
