A suction gripper is to transfer tubular bags in an organised way to a recooling unit – thus the task description. This system, which was developed within the context of a mechanical engineering final paper, is to be used in the food industry among other areas. At the moment, a pull-back belt is used for this purpose. This results in some of the hot and low-viscous bags lying on top of one another, impairing effective use of the cooler. A system has now been installed in the outlet which transfers the rows of tubular bags to the discharge belt without changing their position or spacing. This application uses numerous products from igus® such as e-chain systems® or drylin® Whousing bearings.
