UV-Resistant Bearing Material

iglide® P UV, especially for photovoltaic systems

Bearings of the so-called tracking systems in photovoltaic plants withstand extremely adverse environmental conditions. iglide® P UV was developed for this application. The special composition ensures high resistance to ultraviolet rays and ensures that iglide® P UV plain bearings function for a very long time and with the lowest possible loss of strength.

For more stability despite UV irradiation

For this purpose we developed the iglide® P UV

Ultraviolet rays damage not only human skin, but also inorganic materials. Plastics in particular degrade depending on the duration of exposure and therefore lose mechanical strength long term.

This effect is particularly important for photovoltaic systems. The constructions, which weigh several tons, are to be aligned with the position of the sun. If the supporting systems give way, the optimised alignment can not be guaranteed. 

We have developed iglide® P UV for this purpose. The particularly UV-resistant material lasts many years and ensures safe and stable guidance.
