XYZ Gantries

A gantry robot, otherwise known as a gantry or cartesian robot, is a system that allows movement along linear paths within a 3D space.

Workspace is sometimes referred to as the work envelope; workspace and work envelope is the area within physical reach of a gripper, print head, etc.

The XY actuator is made of an X axis with part number GRW-0630. The Y axis is a ZLW-1080. There are two axes: X’ – Y’ with encoder motors. The workspace is 500mm x 100mm. The list price is $1,291.70.

The XY gantry is made from an X & Y axes, both ZLW-0630s. There are two axes: XX’ – Y’ with encoder motors. The list price is $1,683.50.

The XYZ gantry is made from an X axis with a ZLW-1040, Y axis with a ZLW-1080 and a Z axis with a GRW-0630. There are three axes: XX’ – Y’ – Z with encoder motors. The workspace is 500mm x 500mm x 100mm. The list price is $2,461.10.
