igus® gantry robots, also known as cartesian or linear robots, consist of two base X-axes, a  Y-axis, and an optional Z-axis. Their self-lubricating plastic liners have been engineered to slide instead of roll, running smoother and quieter than recirculating ball bearings. Our gantry robots are also lightweight, clean, quiet, corrosion-resistant and maintenance-free. They provide rapid ROI, cost up to 40% less than traditional gantries, and can be easily programmed with our free robot control software. They’re ideal for applications with two primary sets of parameters: low speeds and high loads, or high speeds and low loads. Customization is also available based on application-specific parameters, with choices of different stroke lengths and accessories such as couplings, assembly plates, mechanical switches, and motor flanges.
