Successful applications in the packaging industry according to requirements

As dairy products in particular are very sensitive, these systems from miromatic for the aseptic filling of yoghurt set the highest hygiene standards. Our storage technology is exposed to cleaning (hot steam, high pressure, chemical agents) at least daily.

When transport rollers were stored inside this cartoner, the metal rollers stuck together due to the adhesive used to seal them. The use of plain bearings made of high-performance polymers made this problem a thing of the past.

In beverage filling, the sliding foils in the linear stroke of this capping unit were completely covered. For even greater hygiene, these were replaced with drylin® special bearings, which have a special rough structure on the outer and inner walls. This ensures that the bearings are completely washed.

These slicing systems from Schiwa work in the sausage, ham and cheese industry. The guidance of the cable to the grippers, which guide the product to the slicing blade, was realised with FDA-compliant energy chains that meet the manufacturer's demanding hygiene concept.

Harvesting, cutting and packing every mushroom by hand? What is not uncommon in the mushroom industry is set to change with the semi-automatic harvesting system from Axis Technology. With steam sterilisation at 80 °C, TH3-energy chains in hygienic design enable safe cable routing.

iglidur® J and special plain bearings are used in this double-aisle heating system in stretch blow moulding machines for moulding bottles. They enable the bearing of the mandrels on which the bottles travel through the system, at 60 °C throughout and in continuous operation.

Today, drylin® linear bearings and iglidur® plain bearings prove their worth here, including in the delivery system.

This filling system for thin to viscous substances works quickly and precisely thanks to numerous bearing products in the cup dispenser, filling and dosing, lid applicator and sealing as well as labelling and ejection. Up to 4,080 litres per hour can be filled into up to 14,400 cups.

In these beverage filling lines, which run in continuous operation, up to 66,000 bottles per hour are fed through. New two-component plastic rollers for the clamping star were developed for this high output range, which have almost doubled the downtime.

This all-round packaging line from Krones AG set a new speed record by processing 20 more packs per minute than its predecessor. Particularly wear-resistant knife edge rollers are used in the belt deflection of the conveyor belts.

The Innokeg AF-C Transversal from KHS can inspect, clean and fill non-returnable and returnable kegs - at an output of up to 700 kegs per hour. A two-metre-long toothed belt axis in the conveyor technology ensures permanently reliable transport.

The machines for fully automated uncorking or unscrewing of the caps of returnable bottles from Rink GmbH & Co. KG are subject to heavy use. They work at a speed of up to 60,000 bottles per hour. Linear and rotary bearings hold their own here in continuous operation.

Precise format adjustment to quickly convert conveyor belts for different packaging sizes. The company I.B.srl was faced with the automation of its conveyor technology. Today, the company relies on Apiro® gearboxes in combination with drylin® linear modules and motorised carriages. They enable 100% maintenance- and lubrication-free adjustment.

In addition to plain bearings, slewing ring bearings, e-chain® and gearbox solutions, inspection systems from Krones such as the Linatronic 735 also rely on linear axes for format adjustment. For example, for moving camera systems to check bottles for breakages or contamination or in the rejection system for unwanted bottles.

The compact filling system "InnoPET TriBlock" from KHS can be used to produce, fill and label PET bottles. In addition to a large number of lubrication- and maintenance-free plain, linear and ball bearings, the entire 600 kg labelling module is adjusted by means of a specially designed spindle linear axis.

LAD GmbH develops absorbent pad inserting machines that securely fix the nonwoven. For flexible adaptation to the respective packaging size, the designers rely on cost-effective automation products such as linear tables and motorised controls.

In the Sleevematic TS labelling machine from Krones AG, linear bearings and linear axes are used in various height and cross adjustments, for example of the deflection rollers or infeed and outfeed sensors. They are lubrication- and maintenance-free and reduce downtimes to a minimum.

In labelling machines from KHS GmbH, the cutting sensor or work table is sometimes positioned using our linear technology. Wear-resistant and lubrication-free, the bearing technology has been meeting the manufacturer's high standards for over twenty years.

As this product serialisation module from Wipotec can be integrated into existing packaging systems, it has to be particularly flexible. This flexibility is provided by numerous lateral and height adjustments, which were realised with wear-resistant drylin® linear axis.

This pouch packaging machine from the manufacturer Veprotec has been consistently designed to automate the system. Motor-driven spindle linear tables help to position the film roll, hole punch, filling station or labeller.
