ESQM 2.0
The ESQM 2.0 is an innovative pillow block bearing for tracking solar modules, which is characterized by high performance, simple installation, optimized materials and reduced installation height. It consists of a split housing and two spherical ball half-shells that enable angular compensation of up to 9° and a radial load capacity of up to 50kN. The spherical ball is made of the wear-resistant and chemical-resistant tribopolymer iglide P UV, which is also highly UV-resistant. The lower part of the housing is also made from a UV-resistant material and has pins that prevent the bearing from slipping during installation. The upper part of the housing is a galvanized sheet metal extender crossbar, which saves installation height. In addition, there are openings in the spherical cap for guiding cables along the profile, which enables clean and safe cabling of the solar modules. The second generation of the ESQM is lighter than its predecessor and therefore saves material and costs. The ESQM 2.0 is the ideal solution for the solar industry, which requires dry-running, maintenance-free, reliable and environmentally friendly tracking of solar modules.
Split flange mounted bearings and spherical insert bearings
The split flange mounted bearings and spherical insert bearings from igubal offer an innovative solution in the area of assembly, minimizing downtimes. Smart igubal flange mounted bearings are innovative bearings made of dry-running high-performance plastic, equipped with miniature wireless sensors. These sensors enable continuous condition monitoring and predictive maintenance of the bearings by transmitting their degree of wear wirelessly to a web-based dashboard. This means that users can avoid breakdowns, optimize maintenance scheduling and fully exploit the bearings' service life. They are ideal for applications in which the bearings are exposed to high loads, dirt, moisture or aggressive media.
Food Contact
Since 2019, igus has developed a catalog range with food-safe versions of their igubal spherical bearings. These solid-plastic spherical bearings are used in various industries and are particularly popular in the food and beverage industry. The reason is that they do not require external lubrication and are made from materials specially developed for this industry. The blue igubal food contact spherical bearings offer a cost-effective alternative to stainless-steel bearings and are approved for direct contact with food. They contain integrated solid lubricants and are maintenance-free. Changing from a standard part to a food contact version is easy - just add the suffix "-FC" to the part number.
