Hygienic Solutions for Imaging, Diagnostics, Dental, & Intensive Care

High-performance plastic components from igus® have been used successfully for years in a range of medical devices, including imaging and diagnostics technology, intensive care, therapy, and dental technology. Our e-chains® and continuous-flex cables safely carry data and energy safely and without interference — for example, in the ceiling pendants of x-ray equipment and bucky tables. They’re developed for a wide range of motion types and speeds, and are even available for tight installation spaces and small bend radii.

Our bearings have excellent coefficients of friction and are free from external lubricants. As a result, they do not attract dirt and remain clean and hygienic. They ensure precise movements in infusion and dialysis pumps and smooth and maintenance-free adjustments of treatments units in dentistry and ophthalmology. Our plastics are also radiation-resistant, non-ferromagnetic, highly durable and quiet.
