Long service life, predictable maintenance, maximum system availability - these concepts are more important than ever as companies start automating processes with robots. To meet all of these requirements, igus® now offers the TR.P system!
The TR.P system measures the tensile forces on the robot head. If predefined maximum values are exceeded, it triggers a reaction via a potential-free contact. This reaction can be a message to the operator or even stopping of the robot.
By implementing the tried-and-tested i.Sense® and a modular sensor system on the moving arm of the triflex® dress pack, it is possible to identify problematic movements including excessive bending, overextension and damage due to jamming. All of these might impair the dress packs and can now be identified and prevented at an early stage without creating and evaluating image material. This saves time as operators can recognize challenges to the energy supply system during commissioning, and damage to the energy supply and its cables and hoses can be avoided.
TR.P is also suitable as a measuring system for "problem robots." It helps operators identify problematic movements when dress packs are used during commissioning and later in productive operation and find solutions before damage occurs.

As part of the i.Sense condition monitoring system from smart plastics, all i.Sense TR.P data can also be evaluated in the i.Cee switch cabinet module. The complete alarm and escalation management of the plant can then be controlled digitally.
The i.Cee module can be integrated into predictive maintenance concepts in a number of ways, from preventive service management, which schedules regular maintenance depending on use, to location-independent fault management, which immediately reports any unforeseen change via various mobile channels. All information is collated in a modern dashboard, online or offline in the local network, depending on the customer's requirements.
