drylin® T guide carriages offer a low cost, maintenance-free alternative to recirculating ball bearings. Both are dimensionally identical, allowing for easy one-to-one replacement. drylin® T guide carriages are also made using igus’® self-lubricating plastic polymers to ensure long-term, high quality performance while saving time and money on maintenance. The robust rail guide even guarantees a service life of up to 50,000km. Additionally, miniature rails and guides are available for applications requiring small installation spaces.

The pressing roller in a grinding machine and the imbalance of the grinding tools are guided over a drylin® T rail in this machine from SMB MASCHINENBAU GmbH. The vibration-dampening properties of the plastic bearings provide support for the elaborate grinding process.

drylin® T in an enveloping machine

4 double strokes per second – with little clearance and maintenance-free
drylin® T rail guides are used in this enveloping machine to guide an envelope suction opener that is mounted on one side. In this application, a variable stroke of 4mm to 10mm and a cycle output of 4 double strokes per second takes place. The guidance must be clearance and maintenance-free and may not require lubrication.

Tool changing time is reduced considerably by the measuring system from the drylin®  T product range. The drilling and cutting tools in CNC processing machines are measured prior to processing and the values are entered in the computer. This means that every tool needs to be measured only once.
