Lead screw materials

All drylin® linear modules are equipped with self-locking Trapezoidal lead screws available in steel and stainless steel, upon request also in hard-coated aluminium. The SHT and SLW series can also be optionally equipped with High helix lead screws made of stainless steel. This allows much higher pitches and drive speeds, but without the self-locking feature.

Bearing materials

All drylin® drive units bearing points are equipped with lubrication-free­ and maintenance-free igus® high performance polymers. Options include materials for high-temperature applications up to +180°C (iglidur® X, SHT-ES series), and for FDA-compliant environments (iglidur® A180).

Electric drive systems: electric motors from igus

Whether DC, lead screw stepper or EC/BLDC motors: with its wide-ranging motor shop, igus offers the possibility of equipping linear axis systems with the appropriate motor solutions. In combination with drylin linear axes, which can be ordered completely ready for installation and connection, entire handling systems can be configured. With the powerful motors you solve a wide variety of problems in electric drive technology.

Lead screw clamp

In many applications, a clamping option is also required as an additional safeguard against unintentional adjustment.

Digital position indicator

The electronic position indicator (battery operated) for drylin® linear modules can be freely programmed for the individual thread pitch in each case. Ideal for use with dryspin® high helix threads. LCD display with five digits and special characters, long battery life and easy battery change without removal of the device.

drylin hand wheels

An extensive selection of hand wheels for a wide variety of requirements is available to ship from stock. They range from small, compact sizes up to Ø125 with or without handles and in various configurations.
