A reliable, fast and safe energy and data supply is always required, particularly in the automotive industry, whether as a linear, gantry or industrial robot travelling on the 7th axis. For maximum reliability in applications with high speeds and cycle rates, igus® has now developed a new type of e-chain® system for automation in the form of plane-chain. In the new concept, a side-mounted cable carrier is guided flat in the special trough. The advantage here is that the designer saves space thanks to the low installation height.

Safe guidance for side-mounted e-chains®, even over very long travels. Channels on both sides, as well as the moving end and the fixed end. By slightly raising the chain radius, the e-chain® can be transferred from one channel to the other while moving. Flat design, easy to adjust and very smooth running.

Have your e-chain® or drag chain recycled at the end of its life cycle using the igus® Chainge® recycling program.

The convex shape of the trough allows the E6 series e-chain® to travel safely in two recessed channels. With its low friction factor, the stainless-steel trough ensures a long service life for the e-chain®. A special plastic insulating layer can be used on the outside of the channel to provide additional noise insulation for the system. Thanks to the lightweight components, the e-chain® solution can be easily mounted below the ceiling for linear robots, for example.
