Modular plastic worm gear system by Apiro®

The Apiro® worm gear system brings modularity and adaptability to the next level. Apiro gearboxes consist of worm gears made of tribologically optimized iglide® materials, either a motor or manual drive, and a number of optional features like cantilever axes, drive pins and multi-functional profiles. Due to the plastic materials used, Apiro gearboxes are not only lightweight and cost-effective, but completely self-lubricating and resistant to dirt and dust. A wide range of gear ratios are available, and connection to drylin® linear actuators and dryspin® lead screws is simple & direct. Apiro worm gear systems can be used in the packaging and food industries — most often for changeovers and pusher tasks — and the medical industry, among others. More complex applications like gantries can even be made from nothing but Apiro gearboxes and accessories.

Benefits:
  • Tribologically optimized material compounds
  • Lightweight, low-clearance, self-lubricating
  • Motor or manual drive, couplings available
  • Modules can be connected in series or in parallel
  • Sensor kit available for all options
  • 85%, non-condensing
  • Application temperature: +5°C to +50°C
  • Suitable for splash water applications
