chainflex® special cables for cable carriers
-tested over millions of cycles

special cables for cable carriers in continuous motion Partial view of igus® experimental laboratory where chainflex® cables are tested

Purpose of every chainflex® cable

Automated cable applications with a high number of cycles, high velocities and accelerations require tried-and-tested systems that are functionally efficient for a long period of time. EMC safety and standards and directives such as UL, CSA, VDE, Interbus and Profibus are also a consideration. Your automation system should function correctly non-stop wherever it is in the world. That’s the igus® mission.

Good cables cost less.

Quick availability no matter where in the world your machines are is a vital consideration when purchasing the right cable. The advantages of our cables include masses of successful test results, a presence in more than 50 countries around the world and deliverability in any length ex-stock. This saves you time, money, and valuable storage space.

igus® tested

As a manufacturer of cable carriers and continuous-flex cables, igus® tests as many different types of cable carriers and cables for automated machinery as possible. At the company-own technical training center in Cologne, Germany, numerous tests are carried out concurrently under the most demanding conditions. At present, there are more than 35 tests setup, with the resultant data regularly being added into a master database. This extensive, current data pool provides precise, reliable information on the actual service life of these components and is also the basis for new igus® product developments. The test data for igus®' energy chain cable carriers, chainflex® cables and readychain® pre-harnessed systems is described in such detail that igus® simply guarantees that its energy chain systems, when properly specified, will work without a problem.
