Solution

We reduce pollutants, CO2 emissions and noise with shore power technology [like the iMSPO system]. This step is particularly important in ports like Hamburg, where the harbour and the city are in close proximity to each other.

The so-called iMSPO (igus Mobile Shore Power Outlet) consists of a mobile trolley with the socket box and an energy chain that moves the heavy cables safely along a rail system.

The iMSPO received the award "Port Innovation of the Year" at the Electric & Hybrid Marine Expo Europe 2024 in Amsterdam.
