The process sequences in car body construction are fluid. If a machine part stops, the entire production line comes to a standstill. To protect the electrical and pneumatic cables and supply hoses of the robots from rotating movements and welding sparks, igus has developed the triflex energy chain. It easily copes with multi-axis movements, is easy to install or repair and simple to adapt.

Jaguar Cars Limited needed to find a new cable guide for the automated industrial robots in a car factory. The previous solution with hoses caused high downtimes as the hoses fell into the robot's working area after some time. The newly installed triflex RS universal module, on the other hand, retracts the cable with every movement.
