For this application, aircraft engine parts arewelded together. The welding points are measuredin advance. The sensors are located ona telescopic unit. Here an extraordinary solutionfrom igus® is used for the energy supplyand makes this application possible in the firstplace. Standard chain links were used toconstruct a special energy chain cable carrier which iscapable of bending in a different direction inthe middle than at the beginning and at theend. This became necessary because theenergy chain cable carrier is not allowed to project beyond thetelescopic unit.
