Offshore application

A lifting and lowering device for the blades ofnaval vessels has been developed. The bladesserve as stabilization and protect againstcapsizing at the same time. Several “Heavy-Duty” e-chains® from igus® are in use for the12 metre travel. The plastic chains need to beabsolutely corrosion-resistant and need to besuitable for temperatures between – 20 andapproximately + 40 degrees Celsius.
