iglidur® M250 | The robust all-rounder with outstanding vibration dampening

The self-lubricating material iglidur® M250 is particularly characterised by impact resistance, vibration dampening and wear resistance. It proves itself particularly well under stresses where a vibration-dampening function of the material is required, e.g. in sports equipment and packaging machines. As it is also capable of embedding dirt, it is also suitable for agricultural machinery and gardening equipment.

Typical application areas

  • Agricultural engineering
  • Mechanical engineering
  • Furniture / Industrial design
  • Textile industry

When to use it?

  • When the material is exposed to heavy soiling
  • For excellent vibration dampening
  • At low to medium speeds
  • When mechanical rework is required
  • Insensitive to edge pressure
  • High impact resistance
  • Thick wall thicknesses according to DIN 1850

When not to use it?

  • For applications in wet areas
  • When very high precision is required
  • For very smooth shafts
  • When a cost-effective material with maximum wear resistance is required
