The PTFE-free solution in the PRT-04 product line. iglide® JPF replaces the standard J sliding compound with a PTFE-free formulation that has been tested in the igus® laboratory for both load and wear, addressing the growing list of regulatory and customer-driven requirements to eliminate PTFE from product designs. The aluminum housing keeps the platform’s signature 20% cost reduction versus the PRT-01, and 100% grease-free operation makes the configuration environmentally friendly across its full service life. Same modular accessory compatibility as the rest of the product line.
When to use it: Mid-duty rotary applications where PTFE-free construction is required by regulation, customer specification, or environmental policy.
When not to use it: When PTFE-free isn’t a requirement (use the standard J variant for the best-tested performance), or when food contact certification is the priority (use the A180 variant).
Application areas: Consumer products, sustainability-driven OEM builds, regulated industries phasing out PTFE, environmental and outdoor equipment, and any rotary mechanism where PTFE elimination is a priority.
