A fully-enclosed configuration built for the worst contamination cases. The standard hard-anodized aluminum housing and replaceable iglide® J pads are protected by sealing lips on both faces, effectively closing the bearing against contamination from either side. Built for the worst case: blowing sand, metallic grinding dust, woodshop debris, outdoor mounts where both faces see weather, or anywhere mounting orientation leaves both sides exposed. All PRT-01 fundamentals carry over: very high load capacity, high rigidity, and maintenance-free operation.
When to use it: Heavy-duty rotary applications in extremely dirty environments where contamination can reach the bearing from either side — outdoor mounts, grinding operations, woodworking, and severely abrasive process zones.
When not to use it: When only one face is exposed to contaminants (use the one-sided -D variant for lower cost), or when the environment is clean enough for a standard unsealed PRT-01.
Application areas: Outdoor solar trackers and antennas, woodworking equipment, grinding and metal-cutting cells, mining-adjacent machinery, agricultural equipment, and any heavy-duty rotary mechanism mounted where both sides of the ring see contamination.
