Apiro® linear gearboxes are mainly used for pusher tasks or in format adjustment.
A particular advantage is the simple synchronisation of Apiro® linear gearboxes. Shafts can be flexibly connected to drive several linear drives via the version with built-in coupling. Power is usually transmitted via an Apiro® worm gear with a ratio of 32:1 to achieve self-locking of the system.
The Apiro® linear actuator with integrated planetary gearhead allows direct connection of a NEMA17 motor. The planetary gearbox amplifies the power of the motor. This creates a very compact yet powerful drive unit.
At igus®, Apiro® stands for low-cost gearboxes and flexible customized solutions. The modular gearbox system offers a wide range of products based on the combination of various designs on the input and output of the gearbox, different ratios and a wide range of accessories. In addition to worm gears, bevel gears and cantilever axes are also available in the modular gear system.
The linear gearbox allows different strokes in various applications. Rack and pinion elements are included. The rack and pinion gear is configurable in different length. Typical applications are pusher tasks or synchronized rail adjustments in the packaging industry.
