iglide® E7 – round bar stock

iglide® E7 is optimized for low to medium loads with a very low coefficient of friction and excellent vibration dampening. It runs quietly, reduces drive forces and delivers long service life on steel and stainless shafts, making it ideal for fast, smooth movements in lightly loaded mechanisms.

When to use it: For quiet, low-friction motion at low to medium loads, including fast pivots and rotations on steel or stainless shafts.
When not to use it: For very high loads, consider W300; for high-temperature food areas, see A350/A500.

All iglide® bar stocks are self-lubricating and maintenance free, ideal for prototypes, low-volume runs, and geometries outside standard parts. igus® can also machine custom parts from bar stock with quick turnaround.

When to use bar stock:

• No matching size in the iglide® catalog
• Small quantities or special dimensions
• Tribo-optimized plastic needed for low friction and wear on a chosen counterface
• High compressive strength or elasticity required
• Rapid prototypes or design iterations
• Nonstandard or complex geometries

When not to use bar stock:

• A standard iglide® catalog bearing fits
• Very large volumes of one geometry (use standard parts or molding)
• Tribo properties not required and a non-tribo plastic suffices
