An on-demand locking configuration that clamps the bearing by hand in seconds. An aluminum clamping block mounted directly to the standard hard-anodized aluminum outer ring delivers a 10 Nm holding torque with just 1 Nm of tightening torque on the clamp screw — a 10:1 mechanical advantage that lets the bearing be locked or released by hand quickly and reliably. Universal iglide® J sliding pads carry forward the product line’s heavy-duty load capacity, rigidity, and maintenance-free operation. The clamping block can be positioned anywhere along the outer ring’s circumference, making it adaptable to whatever mounting orientation the assembly requires.
When to use it: Heavy-duty rotary applications that need to be locked in position on demand.
When not to use it: When the application calls for adjustable damping rather than lock/unlock behavior (use the -ED variant), when defined-arc travel limits are required (use the -AA variant), or when full rotational freedom is acceptable.
Application areas: Manually-positioned fixtures, hand-indexed jigs, machine guards and access doors, adjustable tooling stations, kiosks, and any heavy-duty rotary mechanism that benefits from quick-release locking.
