Selective laser sintering (SLS) material: iglide® I3-PL

The material iglide® I3-PL, specially developed for laser sintering, proved to have an abrasion resistance at least 3 times greater than conventional materials for laser sintering during tribologic tests in the igus® test laboratory. This means the degree of design freedom for wear resistant parts has been increased yet again.

When to use it?

For all types of applications where low friction and high wear resistance are important
When an easy to process laser sintering material with high strength is required
When components with high mechanical strength are required, in particular spur gears, bevel gears, drive nuts, special slides and spherical bearings
Very good wear properties with anodized aluminium as a counter partner
