triflex® R Series TRE Dresspack
Series TRE is flexible in any direction with a high degree of flexibility for complex movements, including the 6th axis on robots. A rotation of approx. ± 10° per chain link is possible on the longitudinal axis. This facilitates cable routing around difficult geometric shapes.
The "ball and socket" joint allows high tensile force absorption and smooth movements on all axes.
Cables and hoses can easily be filled or replaced by pressing them through an opening on the side. Small bend radii and pitch for space-saving installation. triflex® systems are easy to lengthen and shorten by adding or removing links at the ball and socket joint.. No extra elements (steel cables, spring mechanisms, etc.) are necessary for retraction. The TRE Series is extremely stable due to external stop-dogs, defined limits for radius and torsion.
Version TRE.B features a 4x increase in radial stability compared to the original TRE series. Version TRE.C is also available for TRE.100 and TRE.125 which allows for even faster assembly. This is made possible with a pin connection and a spherical igubal® joint that allow 50% higher tensile forces.
When to use it?
- If an easy-to-fill 3D chain is required
- If a secure energy supply is required for multi-axis (3D) movements
- If high torsion resistance is required
- If the system needs to be easy to lengthen and shorten
- If a small bend radius is required
- If high tensile strength absorption is important
When not to use it?
- For circular movements with high load
twisterchain® system - If a completely closed variant is required
triflex® R TRC system - When a less expensive, less sophisticated multi-axis solution is required
triflex® R TRL system
