A factory-integrated collar clamp lets you fix the bearing directly to a standard shaft without bushings, spacers, or adapter sleeves, turning what would normally be a multi-component assembly into a single ready-to-install part. The clamp can also impart a slight preload or adjustable friction depending on tightening torque, giving design flexibility on top of the fast install. All standard PRT-01 advantages carry over: very high load capacity, high rigidity, replaceable iglide® sliding elements, and maintenance-free operation.
When to use it: Heavy-duty handling and rotary designs where the bearing rides on a standard shaft and assembly speed matters — also a good choice when adjustable friction or light preload is desired without dedicated hardware.
When not to use it: When the application is panel-mount rather than shaft-mount (use the -SQ variant or standard PRT-01), or when the friction-control range needs the dedicated -ED adjustable-torque variant.
Application areas: Simple handling assemblies, shaft-mounted pivots, manually-adjusted rotary designs, machine fixtures, and any heavy-duty rotary application built around a standard shaft rather than a flange.
