Reliable e-chains® for RTG/RMG cranes

Proven Effectiveness Worldwide: Over 7,000 RTG/RMG Cranes and Counting!

Rubber-tired gantry cranes (RTG) and Rail mounted gantry cranes (RMG) are designed to handle containers efficiently in tight spaces, boasting large spans and lifting heights to stack numerous containers. To address the challenges associated with such operations, we offer heavy-duty roller energy chains. These energy chains play a crucial role in reducing the required drive force during long travels, enhancing the overall reliability of the crane system.

In addition to our energy chain systems, we provide a comprehensive selection of supplementary products tailored to meet your specific requirements. Our offerings include guide troughs, floating moving ends, clamps for strain relief, and TPE cables designed to meet the highest demands. By combining these components, we deliver an optimal complete package for your crane solution.

Advantages of e-chains®

  • Cable-friendly due to smooth contours
  • Many options in terms of movement and length
  • Reliable even in harsh environmental conditions
  • Predictable service life with up to 36 month guarantee
  • Low maintenance, easy to install

Condition monitoring with i.Sense

The intelligent i.Sense sensor system and software monitors the condition of the energy chain on the crane around the clock. While heavy loads, long operating times and severe weather mean high loads for RTG/RMG cranes, i.Sense helps to ensure operational safety. In the event of problems, the software can initiate an emergency stop to prevent major damage.

Cables for RTG/RMG cranes

In port operations, lines are severely strained. In industrial trucks that operate continuously at container terminals, they will often be on the move around the clock. To ensure that there are no wire breaks and that the cables achieve the longest possible service life, we test all our chainflex® cables extensively in advance in our in-house test laboratory with a total area of 3,800 m². All our cables are also UV-resistant, come with a UL-certified version and receive a flat-rate warranty up to 36 months.
