Coal excavator

In this application, an igus® roller chain of the 4040RHD series replaces the cable drum used before to supply a coal excavator. The system was designed with a covered channel which protects the e-chain® from dirt. The travel is 591 feet. The excavator is being used in Serbia, and the e-chain® has already had the opportunity to prove its suitability for wintry conditions, working at -13° F. The same is true of the chainflex® cables used to supply power to the excavator.
